QuestSync Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

QuestSync helps a group of friends work out which day everyone can play. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who it goes to, and how you delete it. The data controller is the developer of QuestSync, reachable at privacy@questsync.app.

What the app collects

Data Where it comes from What it is for
Name, e-mail and profile picture Your Google account, or e-mail and password sign-up Identifying you to the other members of your group
Groups, availability, poll votes and scheduled games What you tap inside the app It is what the app does
Crash and diagnostic logs Collected when the app crashes Finding and fixing the defect
Purchase identifier Created when you subscribe to QuestSync Pro Recognising your subscription on another device
Push token and device model Registered when you allow notifications Telling you when your group settles a day or calls a game off
Advertising identifier Provided by Android Serving ads on the free plan

QuestSync does not collect precise location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, microphone, camera or health data. It never asks for card details: payment happens inside Google Play and the app never sees your card.

Services that process this data

Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore (Google) hold your account and the app's content. Other members of a group see your name, picture and availability in that group; nobody outside the group sees any of it.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives a report when the app crashes, tied to your internal account identifier and never to your name or e-mail.

OneSignal delivers notifications and receives a device token plus your internal account identifier. Declining the notification permission turns this off entirely.

RevenueCat runs the subscription and receives your internal account identifier and the purchase history Google Play reports. It receives no payment details.

Google AdMob serves the free plan's banner and receives the device advertising identifier and the IP address, which indicates the country. In the European Union and the United Kingdom the app asks for your consent before any ad loads, and the choice can be changed later. QuestSync Pro subscribers see no ads, and the ad service is never started for them.

Sharing

Nothing is sold and nothing goes to data brokers. Data reaches only the services listed above, for the purposes listed above, and public authorities where the law requires it. The advertising identifier is the only item shared for a commercial purpose, and only with Google, to serve ads.

How long it is kept

Account and group data lives as long as the account does. Crash reports are deleted by Crashlytics within 90 days. Subscription records are kept as long as tax law and store rules require.

Deleting everything

Open the app, tap your avatar to reach Profile and tap Delete account. That removes your profile, your membership of every group, and your availability and votes inside them. If you have already uninstalled the app, the instructions and the e-mail address for requesting deletion are at questsync.app/delete-account/.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it under Subscriptions in Google Play.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Brazil's LGPD you may request access, correction, portability or deletion of your data, and you may withdraw advertising consent at any time. Write to privacy@questsync.app and you will have an answer within 30 days.

Children

QuestSync is not intended for anyone under 18 and does not knowingly collect data from children. If you know of an account created by a child, write to the address above and it will be deleted.

Changes

Changes to this policy appear on this page with the date at the top. A material change to what is collected will be announced inside the app before it takes effect.
